After Motoarena has reported about the “phenomenal sales” of Honda PH’s Click Scooters, YMPH or Yamaha Motor Philippines had also announced an official declaration while the annual Arangkada Motorcycle Festival was on-going in Caloocan City during the weekend. Yamaha Motor Philippines has announced that the whole first batch of Yamaha Aerox S 2018 was immediately sold out after its launch.

YMPH has said in their statement that, “Only 155 motorcycle units were made available to be released to future owners”. Also, the motorcycle company has also added that “It wasn’t just a simple purchase where the customers show up to pay for their orders. Interested buyers had to make a reservation online, and the slots available were only limited”.

The Honda Philippines (HPI) and Yamaha Motor Philippines (YMPH), where almost 50% of all the motorcycle sales in the country are from theirs, has come face to face during the event of the Arangkada Motorcycle Festival. After they have made their respective territories at the grand motorcycle festival’s epicenter which is held at the 10th Avenue, YMPH has staged their own activities during Saturday morning, while HPI held their program in the evening.

The Yamaha Blue Brigade has released a statement saying, they have offered reservation slots for the brand new Aerox S model after it was launched on social media via live feed at the YZone around in Mandaluyong City the last 19th of September. According to Yamaha PH, the online reservations were immediately filled to the brim in only just a few hours. Other expecting buyers even have to wait patiently for cancellation of pre-orders just to get a hold of the new motorcycle unit

YMPH has also added that “After buyers received a confirmation from the Yamaha Staffs, all of those who had their reservations booked were all worthy to purchase and become the first-owners of the brand new Mio Aerox S”. The first batch of the units was released to their owners during the Arangkada Festival.

There’s a lot more to the new Mio Aerox S 2018 than just being another release of a new model. With a price tag of P122,900, the 2018 Mio Scooter now boasts a few additional features like a smart-keyless system, ABS, and a start-stop system. By knowing the strong demand for the ‘Mio-llenial’ models, an executive of the Yamaha Philippines has claimed that their company is now exerting a lot of effort in boosting the availability of the models.

A lot of industry insiders have said that the motorcycle companies have found themselves in a state of uncertainty, whenever the forecasts of sales are immersed by the actual demand, especially for scooters with automatic transmissions, where its sales have grown more than 50% from the previous year.

Well, even our insight says that the segment of the motorcycle will continue to be strong until the government has come up with a solution to solve the country’s traffic problem, or until the oil prices have stopped rising.
